Heimishe Trdelaich isn’t just a sweet treat. It’s a piece of history, the smell of home, and a good dose of Jewish humor. Our story goes back to 1861, when our ancestors opened the first Jewish restaurant and distillery in Bohemia. Almost everything has changed since then – except for one thing: we still do things with honesty, love, and tradition.

Today, we are the first and only place in the Czech Republic that’s truly kosher – no compromises. No “almost kosher,” no “kind of kosher.” Everything we serve is fully certified, traceable, and made with a clear conscience.

So why “Heimishe Trdelaich”?

Because “heimishe” in Yiddish means warm, homey, familiar – and “trdelaich”? Well, that’s our playful way of admitting we’re in love with kürtőskalács from the Austro-Hungarian days, and we want to bring it to you in a version that’s kosher lemehadrin, cholov Yisroel, and still absolutely delicious.
